Job Title:  Vice President Manufacturing - Florence Kentucky

 

Goal:  Responsible for the production of approximately 250+ million units annually. Florence is one of the largest producers of bulk within all of L’Oreal, specializing in hair and skin care products with over 700k sq feet of warehouse space housed within two buildings.”

 

Educational, Mental, or Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical/management discipline required; MBA a plus.
  • 5 – 7 years senior management experience in a high performance manufacturing facility - cosmetics industry preferred.

 

General Job Duties:

  • Lead the Manufacturing facility operation to obtain expected performance standards established by the stakeholders of L’Oreal USA.
  • Assemble and lead a core management team to include:  Industrial Logistics, Flows and Subcontracting, Human Resources, Industrial Quality, Finance, Engineering and Safety/Environment.
  • Manages inventory totals of approximately $50 Million.
  • Controls more than 25 production lines and 18 processing systems including various component and raw material warehouses in a three (3) shift operation 24/7.
  • Manages capital investment and expenses for the facility.

Tools and Equipment Used In Job:

  • Personal computer skills, to include experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, presentations, graphics software and database management.
  • Visual/auditory acuity required to operate equipment and see/hear warning alarms.

 

Environmental Factors:

  • Machinery may produce noise levels that exceed SHE’s action level.  Employees are provided with and are required to wear personal hearing protection devices in these areas.
  • Proper PPE is provided with and required to wear safety glasses, hair nets, uniform smock, steel-toed shoes (depending on specific department requirements.);
  • All employees are properly trained in use of adjunct lifting/moving equipment and proper body mechanics;
  • Depending on cleaning and sanitizing procedure, employee will be trained and provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., respirator, dust mask, gloves, face shield and/or apron).

  • Ability to provide leadership to professional, technical and related program staff.
  • Ability to manage change, provide program management and achieve results.
  • Ability to develop short and long-range plans that meet established objectives and contribute to the overall goals and mission of the company.
