Job Summary:

Work in conjunction with Brand Marketing and International Marketing counterparts to ensure U.S. needs are met in the development of all products/product concepts.  Analyze market segments to determine need gaps in portfolio.  Lead and motivate direct reports towards brand’s strategic goal.


Job Requirements:

 - Bachelor’s degree

- 7-10 years of cosmetics or consumer package goods marketing

- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong organizational and follow-up skills

- Ability to work independently within a rigorous deadline schedule

- Ability to delegate

- Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Strong presentation skills


Judgment and Decision Making:

 Judgment and decisions play an integral role in shaping the brand’s focus and strategic development.  Intermittent supervision by VP, Marketing.


Financial Scope:

 Responsible for preparation of annual budget in conjunction with VP Marketing for: samples, print, displays, testers, shopping bags, mailers & special events/tools.  Update budget on a timely basis.  Work with Finance to determine budget trend versus actual.

1.  Strategic Development and Execution of Brand:

·  Build strategy plan, retail forecast and budgets for brand development and growth

·  Liaise with cross-functional teams to execute brand strategy/launch

·  Work with creative to implement marketing direction on launch displays and various collateral

·  Establish advertising strategy and work with agency to develop print and television advertising and internet

·  Maintain field contact for sell-thru information and product feedback




2.  New Products:

·  Oversee development of all product concepts, product names and package co, including set development where applicable

·  Work with Market Research and establish appropriate test plans for new products

·  Analyze all new product launch results and business impact

·  Ensure all launch timetables are met




3.  Budgetary Responsibilities

·  Analyze all pertinent costs on finished goods, samples and collateral

·  Propose and budget marketing programs to support brands.  Follow through with all details of execution

·  Prepare information for bi-annual phase-out decisions, reviewing obsolete inventory levels and lost revenue implications




4.  Additional Responsibilities:

·  Senior management meeting preparation

·  Delivering presentations to retailers and senior management

·  Train, manage and develop direct reports
