The role

L'Oréal CPD is seeking a talented and highly motivated Business Category Controller / Manager who will work in conjunction with marketing and commercial teams to provide a category & channel strategy and drive & deliver Market Share, Net Sales & Profit growth for brands



Key elements to your role:

·       Design, lead & present a Category & Channel Strategy with consumer & shopper insights

·       Lead monthly category / business meetings with Marketing & Commercial

·       Define go to market strategy for your brands within your category

·       Drive the commercial fundamentals for your CPD brands eg distribution, hierarchy

·       Define go to market strategy for brands NPD

·       Define and propose the promotional and pricing principles for your brands and category

·       Act as 'go to' expert in your specific categories

·       Business partner to our insights team

·       Business partner to our Marketing and Commercial team

Who we’re looking for:

Alongside experience in a similar role and excellent management & communication skills, you should be confident demonstrating all of the following:

§  Ability to work with multiple continuous data sources

§  Strong communication skills both written and oral

§  Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise

§  Ability to work effectively in a team, but also self-sufficient and resilient when working without supervision

§  Confident, enthusiastic and persuasive in their manner, the job holder will be practical and methodical in their approach to problem solving

§  Ability to switch between strategic and operational mind-set
