Think “Consumer First” in everything you do. It should be your obsession to know your consumer and to build brand plans based on key insights. These insights will help you to convince your consumer and make him fall in love with your brand’s category.
It is your mission to define and guide the go to market strategy for a product category of a specific brand (in one of our four Divisions: Consumer Products, Professional Products, Luxury Products, Pharmacy Products) consistent with the international brand positioning and the countrys’s priorities. The goal is to contribute to continued growth in all channels (online + offline) and to bring the consumer relationship to the next level.
You are in the driver’s seat of the business and therefore, should always act as an entrepreneur. As such, your job will include the following tasks:
Define the strategic directions & the three-year marketing plan.
Based on the global brand strategy, guide the portfolio priorities (new launches, pillar products renewal and animation of core catalogue) and work in close collaboration with the Headquarter.
Dig deep, analyze and observe to learn everything about your consumer. Steer the collection and analysis of consumer and market insights. Share findings with the international teams to ensure the consistency of new product development in alignment with the local country needs.
Know and use all consumer touchpoints. Take the ownership of international launches and create the right angle to build integrated and engaging consumer brand experiences on a local level. Supervise the entire development process and respect deadlines.
Be holistically responsible for business planning and budgeting (sales forecast; price strategy, profitability of the brand, P&L, etc.).
Build the right marketing strategies based on consumer insights. Lead the marketing mix strategy (IMC/360/Digital/Retail). Adapt the communication strategy (imagery, digital, point of sales).
Build the most effective go to market activation by understanding the consumer journey
Own the brand patrimony and guarantee the brand identity. Ensure that all actions are in line with the sense of purpose while nourishing the brand.
Translate the brand’s sense of purpose into a retail strategy for the country (services, advice, etc.).
Influence the B-to-B strategy working hand-in-hand with the internal retail and education team. Lead the roll-out of retail material (service, advice, etc.).
Eventually take the lead for strategic corporate projects & business for the segment/category/brand.
Be a Leader & Enabler for your team. Set a clear frame and empower them with the trust and the ability to step in and propose their solutions. Be a role model in a collaborative leadership style.
Mobilize other departments (sales, logistic, education, etc. ) and partner agencies to develop a broader business strategy.
Give confidence of your ownership to the Management. Define clear messages to present to top management and accompany the teams in the preparation of meetings.
University background in marketing, digital, sales
Ideally 6-8 year of relevant job experience
Well skilled in: business acumen, brand development, activation excellence, market & consumer insights, category expertise and collaborative leadership
First track record of leadership experience is a plus, especially with regard to people development and demonstration of strategic mindset
Deep knowledge of common marketing tools and approaches, e.g. industry specific Commercial Excellence, Go2Market and Channel Marketing, Digital Marketing
High organizational agility and ability to work in an international and dynamic environment
Strategic thinker with good perspective and open mindset and a passion to innovate
Self-motivated and goal-oriented person with strong initiative
Strong motivator with very good stakeholder management and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and top management
International work experience and intercultural approach
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Excellent command of German (ideally mother tongue) and English
