Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Communications Director on internal communications and sustainable development related programmes
  • Plan and implement a full programme of internal engagement activities and CSR events, work collaboratively with multiple teams, business units, HR Department and NGOs to identify opportunities for staff and stakeholder engagement
  • Establish a best in class editorial office integrated across platforms/channels and develop corporate narrative and messaging for effective staff and stakeholder engagement.  
  • Generate compelling news stories from staff events for a wide range of corporate/local media. Create engaging content for owned online/offline communication channels
  • Build and own relationships with commentators, key journalists, NGOs, industry bodies and influencers to elevate the employer reputation of the organisation, ensuring that views are sought and recognised, driving favourable coverage, commentary and/or NGO collaboration opportunities
  • Support the Corporate Communications Department on issues mapping exercise, crisis drills and issue monitoring and management, anticipating and planning responses to emerging industry and corporate governance topics that could affect the reputation of the business


  • At least 8 years’ Corporate Communications or Employee Engagement experience, ideally within a consumer-facing or retail business sector either in-house or agency
  • Proven track record of developing successful CSR events or staff engagement activities with positive media coverage
  • Proven experience in publishing print, online and mobile friendly internal newsletter, developing corporate messages for promoting the company via various social media platforms
  • Strong organizational, event and project management skills 
  • Strong presentation/communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire
  • Strong problem solving skills, act with integrity and discretion
  • Wide range of media relationships and excellent media handling skills  
  • Ability to work in an ever changing & demanding environment
