People in Supply Chain are the ones who make sure that just about any types of goods you can think of get from A to B - and sometimes C, D and further - safely and efficiently. We are looking for someone to join our established Customer Supply Chain Team working in Trafford Park Manchester.

What are key highlights of this role?

You will be a part of the Consumer Products Customer Supply Chain team and reporting into the customer supply chain manager, this exciting role will see you working in collaboration not just with other supply chain functions, but with commercial, finance, and credit. In addition to this, you will also work with various key customers across UK & Ireland building strong relationships to deliver operational excellence. With responsibility from Day 1 you will play a key role in the order to delivery process, ensuring our customer expectations are exceeded with a continuous improvement mind set striving to develop new ways of working and efficiencies for the business.

As part of your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity create your own success, be given time off to study and complete your assignments as well the support from all the colleagues around you on your journey. 

Key Performance measure of the role will include, Service level, Cost to serve and on shelf availability

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your understanding of supply chain and how it integrates within a business.

Key Skills and Behaviours needed to be successful:

  • Relationship management. The ability to building strong working relationships to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Customer facing experience. You should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively via face to face / Phone / Email
  • Problem solving skills.  You have the ability to root cause issues, you will be empowered to take responsibility and contribute your own ideas.
  • Analytical ability.  You must have strong data analysis skills turning data into information to solve complex problems
  • Can do attitude .  No problem is too small, you should feel comfortable to supporting others in need and seeing challenges as an enabler for change
  • Technical skills - Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, Internet explorer, Prior experience of SAP – would be advantageous

Preferred qualifications/experience:

Entry requirements; Five GCSEs at grade C or above 2 of which must be Maths and English; two A levels or a BTEC or a Level 3 apprenticeship (preferred)
