Director, Corporate Marketing Finance – Consumer Data & Marketing Analytics

Position Summary:

The Corporate Marketing Finance group at L’Oreal USA is a newly created group responsible for ensuring that Advertising & Promotion spend is managed and optimizing through a holistic view across all divisions, with a deep understanding of corporate strategies and priorities, in-depth analyses, and consistent Finance presence supporting Corporate Marketing initiatives. This position will be the Finance lead in charge of consumer data and marketing analytics activities reporting functionally to the VP, Corporate Marketing Finance. The role requires subject matter expertize of the aforementioned activities, its financial impact on broader areas of spend such as advertising, digital, social, and CRM, and an understanding of related digital IT activities.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

·         Finance lead on corporate initiatives related to consumer, shopper, and market insights, partnering with key stakeholders and working with senior business leaders in the US and Europe to optimize value of the L’Oreal business

·         Bring deep market knowledge and expertise, and maintain awareness of market and industry trends to leverage best practices

·         Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (such as brand marketing, division finance, digital marketing & CRM, Omni Media, Customer Care Center and corporate IT) to be recognized as a valued partner and influencer of business drivers

·         Partner with Consumer & Market Intelligence team on test and learn scenarios, ROI analyses, and other test market analysis studies, and work with key stakeholders and Brand Finance on “lessons learner” (post launch assessments) 

  • Develop and maintain consolidated reporting, monitor actual spending vs. forecast, and perform enhanced, in-depth,  financial analysis and modeling of CRM activities and KPIs

·         Ensure consistent application of L’Oreal Group Norms and Standards for CRM expense control and reporting across all L’Oreal divisions

·         Provide guidance and best practices to Brand Finance teams into budgets and trends, metrics and factors on allocations

·         Review contracts and Scope of Works with technology/platform partners for financial viability and support negotiations with vendors, partnering with Marketing Procurement and Legal, focusing on, pricing structure, financial terms, and transparency

Qualifications:

·         +10 years of experience in CRM and/or marketing analytics; marketing finance is a plus

·         Prior experience in market research and/or analytic abilities in qualitative and quantitative research is highly valuable 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related business field; MBA is preferred

·         Strong computer skills required; must be highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·         Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high degree of intellectual curiosity

·         Demonstrate emotional intelligence, including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive business relationship across divisions and functions

·         Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment is essential

·         Must be proactive and work independently in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals; experience in working in a complex matrix organization is preferred

·         Consumer products experience is a plus
