Key Job Accountabilities:


The Director of Human Resources is responsible for all Human Resources generalist activities for the Marketing and Digital population of the L’Oreal Paris brand. This includes recruitment, employee development, SIMPLICITY and change management initiatives, motivating and engaging employees. The Director will act as a business partner to anticipate and optimize the organization’s people needs to align with the overall business strategy. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:


  • Employee Development: Strategically manage careers on an individual basis by building development plans, defining training opportunities and assisting with the Performance Appraisal process for personal and professional growth
  • Recruitment: Approve candidates for interview, participate in interview process and make recommendations with line management for final decisions
  • HR Policies and Programs: Assure compliance while helping to facilitate panier of programs focusing on strategic change, training, team building, diversity, etc.
  • Employee Relations: Translate work environment vision, provide expert advice and coaching to employees and management and contribute to creation of employee events
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Help develop the organization in line with business objectives and contribute to organizational strategy
  • Support leadership with survey results focused on employee engagement & effectiveness; help establish strategies to improve feedback
  • Integration: Oversee the integration of all new employees within population and make recommendations on program improvements


In addition to the generalist role, this individual will be the CPD Marketing and Digital Talent Lead. He or she will be responsible for the strategy and implementation for talent related activities/meetings, reporting and establishing best in class succession planning practices.


Required Experience/Training/Competencies:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferred focus in Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, etc.
  • Master’s Degree in the field of Human Resources or Industrial Organizational Psychology is a plus
  • Prior HR management experience of 7 plus years
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint (with ability to learn internal systems)
  • Experience in handling complex Employee Relations issues
  • Flexible, adaptable, ability to handle fast pace and operate with ambiguity
  • Results orientation
  • Experience with: Talent Development/Management, Organizational Design, Change Management and Transformation, Headcount Management, Salary Planning
  • High degree of executive maturity with ability to influence
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
