OVERVIEW:

 

Works in conjunction with senior marketers in the development and communication of the brand’s strategic vision on a global level, balancing creative thinking and analytical skills.

 

Reports to: Assistant Vice President, Marketing

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define brand development for the category
  • Define new product development “paniers” and supervise the entire development process (i.e. guide and supervise the country implementation kits)
  • Promote a creative climate that allows teams to express ideas
  • Manage and develop the expertise of diverse teams; influence team structure and culture
  • Influence other departments, Zones and countries to meet brand development goals
  • Develop 360 go to market strategy from media to retail   
  • Responsible for gross margin, COGs and evaluation of global forecast for product portfolio
  • Conduct extensive market research at the global level to decode consumer insights, identify trends and propose strategies
  • Collaborate with Creative to create all launch materials including merchandising and sampling

 

Preferred Key Experiences (prior to this position

  • Define brand development for the category
  • Experienced working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
  • Held a position on at least 2 categories/brands
  • Successfully launched and managed a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
  • Worked in Operational Marketing (in US or abroad)
  • Managed challenging projects that may not have been successful
  • Held a position within a foreign culture or an International assignment

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelors degree is required
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in cosmetics or consumer goods marketing, particularly in international markets
  • Skincare experience preferred
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of industry
  • Must be a hands-on professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, changing environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint is also a must.
