Responsible for driving the Haircolor and Relaxer category growth for the US market through the development of a new product panier, renovation of pillar products, developing and executing business processes while creating and implementing long and short term strategies for the brand.


Product Development:

  • Define 3 year panier for Haircolor and relaxer categories
  • Research and define trends for the category
  • Define 3 year panier for Haircolor and relaxer categories
  • Research and define trends for the category
  • Influence other departments to meet brand development goals
  • Work with CMI to conduct extensive market research of the US market to decode consumer insights; identify trends and propose strategies
  • Own financial process for P&L impact of new products
  • Work with R&I and Development teams on reforms
  • Act as formulation and technology experts within category

 New Product Launches:

  • Ownership and responsibility for supervising entire go to market process across multiple launches- shopper, social, media, education, etc.
  • Participate in selling project to management at large
  • Generate long term strategic development
  • Collaborate with Creative to create launch materials including merchandising and sampling

                                                                                                                                                                         Strategy Planning:                                                   

  • Drive the research, analysis, category trends and insights to develop long term strategy
  • Oversee and guide plans development and create vision for businesses
  • Contribute to total category strategy / plans

 Sales/Trade Marketing:

  • Work with Sales leadership to ensure key account plans are aligned with brand strategies
  • Review account specific events/plans
  • Present in internal Sales Meetings/workshops

 Financial P&L and Forecasting:                                                        

  • Ownership of entire process
  • Understand and manage financial implication of forecast (i.e.) E10 and Full year number
  • Own accuracy of all budgets and roll up of total category with finance
  • Manage budget allocation between spending buckets and brands with peers

 Promotions/Advertising/ Media:                                                            

  • Strategically contribute to advertising creative
  • As necessary, manage the advertising development process
  • As necessary, Guide agency and advertising development
  • Influence media recommendation and direction

 Meeting Management:                                                          

  • Develop and drive meeting agenda for meetings
  • Ensure quality of all materials being presented
  • Effectively present to senior management



  • BA degree required. 
  • 7+ years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)
  • Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing
  • Experience managing challenging projects that may not have been successful
  • Experience or exposure to international assignments


  • Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management
  • Product Development: partner with PD team to advise in concept writing, formula briefing and evaluation, packaging development and budget 
  • Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data
  • Leadership: Demonstration of leadership with team; support departments and customers (ie Creative)
  • Cross-cultural knowledge
  • Skills:
  • PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
  • Demonstrated Marketing Brand Management skills and techniques
  • Proven multi-project / team-oriented managerial skills
  • Previous Supervisory role(s)
  • Previous development and/or launch management skills
  • Flexibility
