This position is responsible for leading the North American Real Estate Portfolio for L’Oreal Americas.  The candidate will be responsible for project management commissions and will be responsible for end to end service delivery.  The candidate will ensure that all objectives are met and that projects are delivered on time and that cost targets and quality standards are met.   The candidate will maintain the assets portfolio database and lead the process with the designated real estate companies on lease extensions and new sites. 

This position requires a thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project preliminary conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion, commissioning and post-project review.  Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.  Experience in leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project teams of medium to high complexity, as well as experience in environment matters.  Detailed working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.  Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including quality, safety, time, cost, technical and performance parameters.  Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health, environment and sustainability issues.

The candidate will act as the representative of projects outside the internal organization.  Animate and prepare the Steering Committees presentations.  Following the budget and associated trends.  Offers planning insights to the Steering Committee on real estate projects.  Prepares the files for the selection of subcontractors for validation.  

This position will be responsible for establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project. Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.  Solid knowledge of real estate programs and construction industry technical matters is required.  This will include:  procurement routes and value management.  This position will manage the change control process.  Monitor and advise on project finances.  The candidate will manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communication.  The candidate will prepare formal project progress and other reports.  This position will be responsible for financial management – Ensuring prompt invoicing and monitoring of a project’s financial status.  This position will take a leading role in interfacing with key stakeholders and external consultants during all project stages.  This role will support process improvement – Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate manager.    Strong relationships are developed with the internal stakeholders and the members of the cross-functional team.  Key information and data is effectively cascaded and appropriately retained.

Education/Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.  The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified in the following fields: real estate transactions, project management, financial analysis architecture and construction.  This position requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in real estate transactions and management.
