Job Summary

The Director eCommerce will lead the Luxe Division’s strategy for direct-to-consumer (D2C) ecommerce sales and growth. Working in partnership with multiple brand teams, the Director eCommerce will provide leadership and direction to brands on all aspects of eCommerce, including managing Brand.com portfolio performance, overseeing eCommerce vendor partners and service providers, and facilitating best-in-class digital strategies for the Luxe Division.  The Director eCommerce must a self-starter who has the ability to work well across multiple teams and stakeholders.  S/he will partner with global and cross-division stakeholders to develop a roadmap for eCommerce innovation. S/he will work closely with Digital, Marketing, Sales, IT, Supply Chain, and Customer Care teams. S/he will have experience with eCommerce P&L management, KPI definition, digital project management, and site measurement.

  • Oversee total D2C ecommerce performance across the portfolio of LUXE ecommerce sites, including P&L leadership
  • Define, execute, and scale D2C growth strategies in partnership with digital leads from the brand teams
  • Provide innovation & thought leadership for D2C value proposition and service offerings
  • Serve as the key business lead in the Luxe division for user experience, site merchandising, site operations, & eCommerce product roadmap
  • Represent the Luxe division and brand needs in the global and US eCommerce product roadmap definition and prioritization
  • Drive from insights to action through voice of the customer initiatives across digital touchpoints
  • Manage 3rd party eCommerce vendors and service agencies
  • Manage a team consisting of eCommerce operations, site merchandising, and voice of the customer roles
  • Provide input to global and US e-commerce product owners related to Luxe specific requirements

Job Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in managing a high volume business-to-consumer eCommerce business, multi-brand environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of current eCommerce trends, strategies, and techniques.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Ability to identify, scope and implement digital solutions while meeting ROI goals.
  • Familiar with executive level reporting and communication.  Able to clearly communicate eCommerce concepts and performance to an audience with a wide variation in eCommerce experience.
  • Proficiency in eCommerce KPIs, web analytics, and merchandising
  • Experience working with and managing 3rd party service and technology partners
  • Proven track record of driving results and innovation from eCommerce & digital marketing initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree and interest in the beauty industry; MBA preferred, not required.
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Multitasker by nature who can manage multiple processes with a high level of quality and consistency
  • Experience with Demandware/Salesforce Commerce Cloud preferred
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way.

Judgment and Decision Making

The role will require daily interaction with multiple groups including Marketing, sales, education, creative, IT, finance, and legal.  This will require a high level of interpersonal skill and diplomacy, and demonstrated ability to justify online priorities and decisions to internal partners.  The role will require strong time management, and prioritization skills.
