Employee Communication & Reputation Manager
The role of Employee Communication & Reputation Manager is a key role within the UK and Ireland subsidiary of the L’Oréal Group, the world’s number one beauty company. Based in the Corporate Affairs team, this role is responsible for developing and delivering an internal communications strategy to drive employee engagement, and to help drive the external reputation of L’Oréal as a great place to work.
The Employee Communication & Reputation Manager will join an in-house team, working closely with a variety of stakeholders and partners to help protect and build L’Oréal corporate reputation.
Purpose of your role:
The role will focus on delivering a programme of internal communications activities including operational updates, leadership communications and finding new ways to engage employees in company strategy. The role will also work to drive the external reputation of the company as a great place to work, through leveraging employee advocates and delivering workplace-related coverage.
Your key job accountabilities:
Develop and deliver an internal communications calendar of activities, maximising assets from across the business
Management of internal communication channels including Ethics Day, Citizen Day, internal newsletters, internal advertising, L'Oréal Connects (all employee event)
Work with corporate functions and divisions to manage air traffic control and offer expertise for communications projects
Partner with Human Resources to drive employee advocacy as a reputation driver and recruitment tool
Define drumbeat of ‘workplace’ related stories to drive external reputation of L’Oréal as a great place to work
Work with the International communication team in Paris to input and roll out into global programmes
Support Corporate Affairs Director with leadership communication strategy and execution
Support other members of Corporate Affairs team as required on key projects e.g. FWIS and issues management
Manage internal communication network across remote sites
Input into ad hoc projects as required
People manager of one dedicated internal communications intern
Effective management of budgets, keeping in regular contact with Finance controllers

The network you would work with:
In the UK, you will work closely with senior management, all corporate functions and divisions.
Internationally, you will have close relationship with Group internal communications team, while also liaising with the philanthropy, external affairs and sustainability teams.
Qualifications / skills required:
Educated to degree level
Communication experience ideally gained in a leading agency and/or in-house
FMCG exposure is an advantage as is a passion for Beauty and/or internal communications
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to establish, exploit and influence effective networks at all levels - excellent relationship building skills
Good event management skills
Strategic thinker with ability to move effortlessly between strategy, implementation and tactical opportunities
Ability to rapidly digest and distil complex issues and formulate strategy / responses
Confident, persuasive individual who is comfortable dealing with both the most senior stakeholders in the business and more junior colleagues
Great team player with positive and enthusiastic approach
