Overview: This position is responsible to drive brand growth by creating innovative go-to-market plans and developing new product panier. In addition, the marketing manager primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough products, communications and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand. 


Job Responsibilities:


New Product Development:

  • Define 3 year panier for Styling and Haircare
  • Research and define trends for the category
  • Influence other departments to meet brand development goals
  • Work with CMI to conduct extensive market research of the US market to decode consumer insights; identify trends and propose strategies
  • Own financial process for P&L impact of new products
  • Work with R&I and Development teams on reforms
  • Act as formulation and technology experts within category

New Product Launches:                                                    

  • Work harmoniously with cross-functional teams to develop collaborative strategies and foster a high performing team culture
  • Manage projects on time and proactively identify issues and work across cross - functional team to resolve
  • Ownership and responsibility for supervising entire go to market process across multiple launches- shopper, social, media, education, etc.
  • Participate in selling project to management at large
  • Generate long term strategic development
  • Collaborate with Creative to create launch materials including merchandising and sampling

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop analysis and gather information to support plans / strategy development and help market recommendations that drive business results

Business Management:                                                                       

  • Develop and analyze business data, contribute to drawing conclusions, understand and begin to articulate category knowledge and the customer business cycle.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research
  • Analyze data from Nielsen to understand and interpret State-of-the-Business analysis
  • Meeting management

Financial P&L and Forecasting:                                                        

  • Pulling and analyzing sell-thru data
  • Perform Forecasting and consumption, shipment  & inventory analysis
  • Ensure forecast reflects promotional grid
  • Participate in cross functional discussions regarding forecasts

Promotions/Advertising / Media:

  • Work intimately with agency partners to create breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data driven activations

Job Requirements:



  • Related experience focused on quantitative data management and project management skills
  • Product development experience is highly desired
  • Consumer package goods or beauty industry experience is also highly desired
  • Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing
  • Experience managing challenging projects that may not have been successful


  • PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
