Urban Decay is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team  Product Development  team in Newport Beach, CA.


POSITION PURPOSE

This position provides vital in-house support to the Creative Department with graphic design.  Will create misc. collateral related to product development and packaging.  Will handle production work for Sr. graphic designer.  Must be eager to learn the print side of production, and be skilled in layout and typography and packaging layouts.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design/Production

Concept through production of projects: package design, layout, labeling and supporting regulatory materials. Image resizing and retouching. Production and updates on all new and existing products, components and outer packaging.

  • Printing

The Graphic Designer controls production on his/her own projects.  Press checks must be attended or proofs approved. Create packaging mockups and other presentation materials.

  • Miscellaneous: perform supportive functions as needed. Assist our lead designer and creative team in daily tasks and company deadlines

  • Excellent production skills: preparing files for print, ensuring work is free of errors.
  • Detail-oriented-work should be free of errors


PHYSICAL DEMANDS OR REQUIREMENTS

  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education/ Experience/ Licenses or Certifications:

  • Four year degree in Graphic Design strongly preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
  • 2+ years previous experience in a similar position


 SOFTWARE

  • Fully competent in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Have basic Mac/System software, basic Mac/PC compatibility troubleshooting
