The Active Cosmetics Division houses a dynamic collection of brands (La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals and Roger and Gallet ); all developed for sensitive or problem skin, proven by science and endorsed by healthcare professionals. In the UK this division is on a dynamic growth mission – although today it is the smallest division in the group it has doubled in size the last 3 years and has ambitious plans to double again by 2020. Digital transformation has been at the heart of this growth, with now more than 80% of our media budgets spent online to connect with our consumers and advocates



The Active Cosmetics Division of L’Oréal UKI is seeking a strategic Digital expert with a passion for the beauty industry and an outstanding track record of driving business growth. We need a dynamic individual who can use their extensive Digital expertise to be the driving force behind the division’s Digital strategy.  Working within the IMC team, and in collaboration with the UK’s corporate Digital team, you will take the lead in defining and executing the divisions multi-channel Digital strategy across Acquisition, SEM, eCommerce, CRM and content.  

The Head of Digital will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth and performance for this ambitious and already successful division across a portfolio of four high potential brands. The successful applicant will benefit from being a valued member of a dynamic, passionate and talented team within a ‘Digital First’ division of L’Oréal during a period of exceptional growth.



  • Develop, execute, refine and measure the overall strategic direction for the Division, subsequently tailoring to meet the unique needs of each ACD brand across the UK & IRE
  • Define and execute the cross-channel AWO Communication strategy & provide consultancy across Marketing led  digital campaigns
  • Accelerate awareness - work closely with the Acquisition Manager and Marketing teams to define innovate consumer recruitment plans to drive qualified awareness through advanced SEM, Affiliates, Precision Advertising and new Media 
  • Drive eCommerce growth – oversee trading plans, conversion optimisation and the development roadmap for the new ACD Magento eCommerce platform to deliver against Budget and key KPIs
  • Champion CRM - together with the CRM Manager, shape brand specific approaches to data acquisition, consumer contact strategies and loyalty whilst ensuring best practise data Management and compliance 
  • Accurately forecast Digital revenue and performance KPIs, providing regular insight on performance and defining robust ROI and CPA models
  • Work with global development teams, UK corporate Digital team, and external agencies to deliver a best-in-class Digital Infrastructure roadmap 
  • Manage the Division’s Digital budget, constantly monitoring financial targets to ensure plans are met
  • Act as a key consultant and Digital expert to the Division - upskilling teams, pro-actively sharing knowledge and expertise and providing  information and inspiration on the latest trends in the Digital arena
  • Manage and coach a  high performance team of three Digital Managers plus one intern

  • 5-6 years Digital experience where you have built strong strategic skills  and have a proven ability to transform business objectives into a Digital strategy that drives sales growth with clear ROI
  • Experience of managing Direct to Consumer eCommerce platforms and/ or Eretail acounts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience of managing and developing a high performing Digital team
  • Extensive experience of selecting, managing and motivating agencies
  • Ability to work independently ensuring that regular updates are provided to key stakeholders
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
