Position Information:

Position Title: 12-month Administrative Intern, Public Relations

Division/Department: Luxe Division – Ralph Lauren Affaire de Marque 

Location: New York, NY

Internship Job Description:

The 12-month Administrative Intern will support the Ralph Lauren Fragrances Global Public Relations team. Intern will provide administrative assistance to the PR team as well as project coordination, inventory maintenance, and ad hoc PR assignments. This position offers direct exposure to our world class marketing teams and strategies.

Essential Duties:

  • Order, issue, and track all no-charge merchandise as well as sales holds for product inventory
  • Responsible for all PR mailings to the field force, magazines, etc.
  • Track press coverage and clippings
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for PR presentations to senior management
  • Manage communications and interactions  RL DMI global influencer pipeline program
  • Facilitate travel arrangements, phone coverage, and expense reports
  • Maintain calendars and arrange appointments
  • All other necessary administrative duties

Skills Desired/Requirements:

  • Recent college graduate (within the past 12 months)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to research, contact, and collaborate with external influencers
  • High level of initiative and resiliency

 

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Public Relations internship experience preferred (either in-house or agency)
  • Press event planning experience a plus
  • Experience working for a global or international company/brand
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
