eCommerce Intern


L’Oreal USA is in search of an eCommerce Intern to support the Active Cosmetics Division working across La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Dermablend and SkinCeuticals. This role will support the eCommerce team in all aspects D2C eCommerce and digital marketing. This individual will assist in projects related to website performance analyses, competitive research, digital marketing and administrative tasks such as meeting scheduling and purchase order management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key KPI’s across Paid, Owned and Earned media. S/he should be highly organized, comfortable with excel and data management. This role will report directly into the Active Cosmetics Division’s Vice President of Digital.


  • Compile and organize sales data; extract key insights, recommend action
  • Execute competitive analysis presenting our offers vs. marketplace and recommend action
  • Manage all vendor purchase order setup, invoice tracking and reconciliation
  • Conduct SEO research and opportunity forecasting
  • Assist with website product information management and SEO enrichment
  • Monitor industry trends and relevant competitor insights
  • Generate new ideas to help improve social media, website and online sales
  • Assist VP of Digital with general administrative marketing tasks as needed


  • Highly analytical individual with excellent understanding of data management and ability to use Excel to organize data, create reports, and deliver meaningful insights & recommendations
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels (Paid Search, SEO, CRM, Affiliate, Social)
  • Experience in an eCommerce CMS (Demandware experience is a plus)
  • Experience with a CRM System (Salesforce experience is a plus)
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • Excellent written, analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills; ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline oriented environment


  • Candidates should be passionate about e-commerce, digital 
  • Exposure to beauty/lifestyle and/or luxury/fashion retail a plus
  • Has great attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Must possess knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline with related work experience in digital and data analysis
