Who We Are:
For more than a century, L’Oréal has devoted its energy, innovation, and scientific excellence solely to one business: Beauty. Our goal is to offer each and every person around the world the best of beauty in terms of quality, efficacy, safety, sincerity and responsibility to satisfy all beauty needs and desires in their infinite diversity.
With higher stakes must come stronger commitments. This is the reason why L’Oréal has decided to take its sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts even further through a program called “L’Oréal for the Future” (L4TF). Our commitments towards 2030 mark the beginning of a more radical transformation and embody our view as to what a company’s vision, purpose and responsibilities should be to meet the challenges facing the world.
Expectations for what role companies should play when it comes to the environment and societal topics have changed dramatically. At L’Oréal, we want to take on greater responsibility, go beyond the mere transformation of our business model. With our new sustainability program, we aspire to demonstrate that companies can be part of the solution to some of today’s most pressing environmental and social challenges.
What You Will Learn:
L’Oréal USA’s Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability department is looking for a Communications & Engagement Intern to support initiatives that bring L’Oréal for the Future to life through internal and external communications and employee engagement. This role will work closely with the VP of Sustainability Communications & Engagement to implement the function’s communications strategy and will collaborate with key internal stakeholders who manage execution of our programs and initiatives focused on sustainability, philanthropy, human rights and social impact. In this role, you will achieve success as a communicator by being a “brand journalist”, covering our initiatives and programs and helping our employee audiences better connect and understand our sustainability mission and corporate responsibility objectives. You will have exposure to several communications projects, from planning and editorial exercises to content creation and message development. Your work will support L’Oréal’s major presence on owned and earned stages.
