The microbiology team in advanced research Singapore is responsible for conducting upstream research within the scope of the skin and scalp microbiome. Within this broad domain, the team is involved in multi-disciplinary research across various fields and works very closely with the clinical research team and also external partners possessing diverse research expertise. The goal of the advanced research team is to identify innovative concepts for development of novel cosmetic, dermatology and consumer care products.
The successful candidate for this position should be experienced in handling mammalian cell cultures and should also possess skills for performing microbiological research. Experience with microbial-mammalian co-cultures would be a certain asset for this position. The candidate is also expected to work on clinical samples (skin/hair/scalp) with an aim to decipher signatures unique to various phenotypes of interest and is expected to perform all the activities at the external partner's site. Selected candidate would report to the microbiology project leader for L’Oréal Singapore and is expected to be a team player with an active interest in carrying out inter-disciplinary research, particularly at the interface of microbiology and cell biology.
WHO ARE YOU?
Strong academic credentials-PhD in biological sciences.
Have a training record in cell biology and microbiology.
Active interest in inter-disciplinary research work.
Ability to identify ways to improve methods and innovate methodologies to accomplish goals with experience and technical capability.
Fluency in English
