In the last 10 years, our Research budget has increased more rapidly than the Group's sales.

More than 490 patents were registered in 2015. Our workforce consists of 3800 employees, representing about sixty nationalities and thirty different scientific backgrounds (chemistry, physics, biology, dermatology, optics, rheology, IT, statistics, analysis, etc.).


·         To find and develop innovative technologies, materials coming from Japan industrial network

·         to select the most relevant technologies in regards of L’Oréal strategy and to promote them within research & development stakeholders

·         To conduct project coordination with partners & internal involved people, e.g. laboratories, evaluation, safety and regulatory experts, legal and buyers...

·         To develop partnership with relevant industrial players in Japan

·         and to build a long term relationship with these partners via relevant business model

·         To conduct the negotiation related to the development of the technologies, in particular the agreement negotiation like IP, exclusivity…

Who Are You

·         Background:  material sciences /polymeric chemistry / physico-chemestry... Knowledge of cosmetic field appreciated

·         8+ years of experience in scientific domain (master degree minimum)

·         Project management skills / experience - networking ability

·         Communication skills to coordinate projects with external partners and internal partners (project team)

·         Entrepreneurship and leadership profil is really a must

·         Overseas experience, or at least multicultural experiences at work

·         Open minded - ready to work in international, matrix organization

·         Fluent in English and Japanese

·         Knowledge in biotechnologies, green chemistry… is a plus

·         Pro-active, leader, enabler

·         Autonomous, able to master risk management

·         Trustable, honest and open to people

·         Scientifically rigorous
