What are key highlights of this role?

As the HR Director for the Division/Function you will lead a team of HR professionals and be responsible for partnering with the Management team and the business to build an appropriate HR agenda to attract, recruit, develop and engage our people.

What are the key duties of this role?

  • Work closely with the business, functional and HR Leadership teams to build and align the ‘People Roadmap’ with business strategy to build inspiring and talented teams.
  • Identify strategic resourcing requirements (including current and projected skill / capability gaps) to develop and execute strategic resourcing plans. 
  • Partner with the Leadership teams to drive the full scope of the talent agenda – attracting, selecting and engaging.  Lead succession planning and people review meetings driving subsequent actions with Learning for Development to secure learning and development to ensure leadership capability is optimum and development plans are in place for leadership teams.
  • Working with the Executive and the Divisional/Functional Leadership teams to ensure ongoing leadership development plans are in place. Provide professional advice and coaching to drive continuous improvement and up-skilling of Line Management and employee engagement.
  • Programme manage complex change and transformation projects within the teams co-ordinating the activities of other HR resources, as required.
  • Attend leadership management meetings and contribute to business strategy, driving activities to improve employee engagement across the business area.

·       Accountable for ensuring the optimum organisational structure within the management of annual headcount and budget for relevant functions.

·       Responsible for overseeing the headcount and payroll mass trend.

·       Lead the employee engagement agenda across the UK and Ireland including managing the roll-out of the Company’s employee engagement survey.

·       Lead, coach and mentor all direct reports.

What key skills are L’Oréal looking for?

·       Excellent communication and negotiation skills with proven track record of building effective relationships with complex senior leadership teams, working in a ‘trusted advisor’ style, managing organisational and cultural change initiatives and managing the delivery of HR strategies.

·       Previous experience of working directly with Senior Leadership teams.

  • Demonstrable experience of working within the context of complex, matrix organization.
  • Ability to network at pace and ensure the relevant stakeholders are identified and informed in a timely manner.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to engage and influence at all levels within the organisation delivering across full range of HR disciplines i.e. resourcing, talent management, mobility, employee relations, performance management, etc.
  • Broad commercial and business understanding with proven track record of successful project management

·       Proven experience in talent management and development with ability to coach and influence senior management.

·       Previous mobility, compensation and  benefits knowledge desirable.

·       Ability to analyse data, draw accurate conclusions and communicate key messages succinctly.
