What are key highlights of this role?

The Retail and Merchandising Executive role drives efficient retail execution and implementation of all the merchandising initiatives across the Professional Products Division. Ensuring quality and consistency across the brands and all the distribution channels, driving the digitalisation of Salons and pushing for Retail Excellence across the division, reinforced through perfect execution, attention to detail and maintenance. It is a key role within the Business Transformation team, reporting to the PPD Retail & Merchandising Manager. 

What are the key duties of this role?

Work with the PPD Retail & Merchandising team, to execute and measure the overall divisions Visual Merchandising and Retail Strategy, championing standards, perfect execution, new ideas and best practice across all brands.

DIGITAL WINDOWS: End-to-end management of the UK roll-out and implementation of digital windows across the division, liaising with the international team in Paris as well as the chosen supplier, while measuring the success and ensuring to stay within budget guidelines. 

DIGITALISATION OF SALONS: Finding innovative ways to bring new digital concepts to salons, spas and department stores. Understand the consumer’s journey and shopper experience and find new digital solutions to enhance the consumer’s experience.

VISUAL MERCHANDISING: Work with the team to manage the PPD multi brand merchandising budget. Develop permanent merchandising elements, help brands to develop merchandising guidelines to ensure perfect execution/retail excellence of POS and create synergies across bands. Contribute to the training and coaching of the field team to ensure the implementation of the merchandising guidelines.

SALON EMOTION: Work closely with the team to implement and execute the Salon Emotion Roll-out. Managing the relationship with Design agencies/ interior Designer to develop turnkey solutions as well as creating merchandising tool kits. Project managing Salon Emotion projects liaising the Sales team and Design agency as required. Tracking sales of transformed salons.

·    MERCHANDISING AND RETAIL EXPERT: Alongside the PPD Retail & Merchandising Team, develop and act as a key Visual Merchandising and retail expert, to up-skill teams, pro-actively share knowledge and expertise, including ongoing field visits to ensure perfect implementation of merchandising guidelines, getting feedback and finding new ideas from competition and reporting back.
