Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce Activation, the Senior eMerchandiser, is the driving force behind a strong e-merch process which ensures perfect execution of CPD brands in the ecommerce channel. The senior merchandiser leads a team of three eMerchandisers who collaborate with the OBM community and commercial teams, to ensure that there is an ‘always on’ process for CPD brands on salsify, on intermediaries and on our retailer sites. The Senior emerchandiser also drives our reporting capabilities to improve measurement and accountability in our mission for emerch excellence.

As an expert merchandising for commerce, the emerchandiser is also responsible for, with brands, developing and updating  the ‘playbook’ for execution of our categories to ensure we care optimising our brands towards converting the Online shopper


Strong Process

Drive a strong ‘always on’ emerchandising process whereby marketing and commercial communities

are mobilised behind the objective of delivering emerch excellence

Perfect Execution

In collaboration with Online Brand Managers, directly execute changes on self service platforms (i.e. Amazon)
Work with retailer teams to relieve emerch pinch points and accelerate our execution/ Optimisation on retail sites.
Oversight of mandatory field completion and working with OBM’s to take action where updates on salsify are required.
Ensure regular flow and update of product information between systems.

Driving Accountability

Working with business planning team to keep EDGE up to date and accurate. Publication of brand and customer scores on EDGE.
Use ARA dashboards and Google Algorithm to track Amazon optimisation and provide insight into impact of organic execution.
Collate and communicate a clear roadmap with identified priorities mapped to growth strategy for CPD online.

‘Play book’ development and update

Work with Online Brand Managers to build the category execution playbook for CPD.

E-Merch Innovation

Recommend ways to innovate our emerchandising execution using shopper insights and learnings from

      the wider market and incorporating those into the ‘playbook’.

A manager of people, able to coordinate work, drive efficiency and develop your team
Highly organized with prioritization skills.
Experienced in an ecommerce environment and can demonstrate an affinity for brands and consumers


Strong Communication skills – written and verbal

Excellent presentation skills with attention to detail for creating sound commercial arguments

Strong influencing skills – you will be required to demonstrate thought leadership as well as drive to execution

Experience in a fast paced sales / retail environment
