Who We Are...
The Customer Data Strategy & Activation Team provides consumer data insights and activation best practices that facilitates management decision-making on broad strategic, as well as, tactical day-to-day marketing and business issues, builds and maintains the data ecosystem of the future for L’Oréal USA, and supports the brands in activating this data.
What We'll do Together...
As the Data Steward you will drive L’Oréal USA’s transformation to a data-driven organization by leading a successful roll-out of data standards and governance processes. In partnership with Digital IT, you will ensure the technology solutions delivers L’Oréal USA objectives for data standardization while ensuring the availability to access data for analytics and activation within and across the portfolio of brands. This includes ownership of activities such as defining the roadmap, informing the design, approving the solutions architecture and managing the delivery.
What Your day will look like...
• Serve on the Data Governance Council and participate in the formation of its charter.
•Liaison with the Global Digital Team on the evolution of data standardization and governance across the zones.
• Lead implementation of the Global Data Model and US addendums, which establish standards for the collection and use of known consumer demographic and beauty data.
•Establish processes for management and compliance with Global Data Model standards, as well as criteria and approval governance for adjustments to or deviations from the standards.
•Collaborate with Consumer Data Strategy and Analytics stakeholders to define use cases for activation of consumer data, including sharing of data across brands.
•Partner with Legal and the Data Governance Council to seek approval for use cases, and ensure proper controls are in place where use cases are approved.
•Consult brands and agency/vendor partners on how to adopt data standards and continuously demonstrate the value from data standardization.
•Maintain documentation of all consumer data collection touchpoints and partner with Digital IT and IT Security to ensure all touchpoints are compliant with LUSA standards.
•Be the expert across L’Oréal for all data-related questions and stay up-to-date on US policies, regulations and innovations in the industry that effect our business.
•Regularly liaison with Legal team to solicit guidance and incorporate risk considerations into business-driven cost/benefit analyses.
•Liaison with media and site teams to demonstrate how data standards can be leveraged in the anonymous data eco-system, such as naming conventions for Google Analytics tag.
What You'll need...
• BA/BS in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Management.
•4-6 years of experience in data strategy, digital marketing, SaaS, project management or implementation consulting.
•Experience liaising between business and technology stakeholders required.
•Ability to lead, direct and challenge engineers and architects in process, methods and approach.
•Strong understanding of digital marketing and eCommerce ecosystems and processes that include end-to-end data flows.
•In-depth knowledge of various client side and server side technologies.
•Highly organized, detail-oriented and focused on projects from developing the vision and strategy to executing and evaluating the results.
•Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of quality.
•Ability to interact and present to all levels of the organization, including top management.
•Ability to think strategically and create a bigger picture vision for ethical and standardized data collection, while evangelizing that vision across the portfolio of brands.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a positive and team-oriented, collaborative approach.
•Beauty background preferred.
Technical Experience Desired:
•Knowledge of eCommerce platforms and prior experience on Sales Force Commerce Cloud (Demandware) is a definite plus.
• Knowledge of Sales Force Marketing Cloud and Sales Force Service Cloud is a plus
•Deep understanding of Payment and Order Management systems is required
•Deep understanding of Mobile technologies/frameworks, Google Analytics, SEO and Tagging
•Deep understanding of Systems integration concepts – Web Service (REST, SOAP), Batch, EDI, sFTP, API Gateways
•OMS and SAP integration experience is a definite plus.
• Knowledge of eCommerce security and site performance
•Exposure to headless architecture, progressive web experience and other emerging technologies is a plus
•Microsoft Office applications -- Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint , Excel, Word), Visio and Project
