The division  

The mission of our Consumer Products Division is to provide the best innovation in beauty to consumers wherever and whenever they desire it. Through its brands L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, NYX and Essie, the division is focused on meeting the infinite beauty needs of all Australians. CPD team members are empowered and have shared ownership of business activities. The division also has a structure which encourages collaboration and cooperation between its different functions.



The role

Work within the CPD finance team, reporting directly to the Divisional Controller, you will support the marketing and digital teams with managing the spend and assist them with improving their return on investments. Varied and challenging, the role will require the successful candidate to be the “economic conscience” for this aspect of CPD and will manage budgeting, management reporting and analysis, and provide insight and guidance around business drivers to support decision-making.  You will -

  • Partner closely with the marketing and digital teams to provide clarity to the financial results and forward projections

  • Contribute to the preparation of the month end management reporting pack, forecast and budget/trend processes

  • Work across the various departments – sales, marketing, planning – to drive informed decisions and understanding of financial impact

  • Prepare financial modelling and commercial analysis, both regular and ad hoc

  • Drive compliance in accordance with Group norms and educate stakeholders on the relevant principles

  • Gain competency in various systems including SAP and the Group financial reporting tool

About You

You will ideally have a controlling background and business facing experience and thrive in a complex and creative environment. A strong networker, you will be able to establish credibility and buy in from stakeholders at all levels of our business, driven by a relationship-based approach.  2-4 years previous experience within the FMCG or retail industries will be highly sought as will experience working with SAP.
