What You Will Do:

The White Space Account Lead & New Business Development Channel Specialist is a unique role that provides an individual with the opportunity to be both a business owner as well as a key contributor to the total New Business Development sales team resulting in customer facing experience, high visibility internally and exposure to all facets of New Business Development/ Club Channel. In this unique role, your work will be broad, ranging from developing strategic business recommendations, to working collaboratively on cross-functional projects with partners at all levels of the organizations, to project management and presentation to customers and internal Sr. leadership.

Mission and defining characteristics

  • Key contributor to the NBD team with the development of selling stories, reporting, presentations, and administrative responsibilities.

Main tasks

Customer Developer, Relationship Builder & Entrepreneur

·        Further develop CPD presence in key channels through the identification of new business opportunities. Develop strategy for new opportunities, establish relationships with prospective customers, and craft proposals for leadership review.

  • Manage all aspects of new account set up and planning.
  • Once established, drive a customer-centric omnichannel approach and build a strong relationship with all relevant stakeholders at whitespace customers
  • Analyze and define the growth levers relevant to customer with specific focus on the shopper so selling is through shopper insights

Category Owner & Support

  • Drive category strategy agenda created by BBD as well as influence BBD with respect to what is needed to win in alignment with Brand priorities for NBD
  • Engage multifunctional support for strategy implementation and 360 growth levers for category, including CRM.
  • Be the expert on all category analysis for own brand and develop selling stories as needed.
  • Co-create display and 360 support strategy with NBD team lead, manage display process with Pep and manage display budget.

Team Manager & Contributor

  • Drive the business as customer leader, by collaborating with multifunctional team and animating peer functions: marketing, supply chain, finance, category development. High level of project management.
  • Help develop more junior team members (e.g., Intern) and help manage the intern’s day-to-day workload.
  • With support from 12-month Intern, support team on account requests and paperwork
  • Drive the business as key member, by collaborating with multifunctional team and leveraging all insights to drive brand growth. With support from team intern, maintains all reporting needed to run the business.

Results Driver & Contributor

  • Lead with an achievement-oriented mindset
  • Build and achieve the omnichannel customer plan and results for NBD
  • With support from intern, own the analysis of sales, inventory, promo and cascading to teams. Develop reporting for all initiatives and key opportunities.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial
  • Strong knowledge of retailer data/syndicated data
  • Strong ability to build trusting relationships with cross functional partners and with client
  • Innovate in a collaborative manner
  • Self-motivated, results and solution oriented, strategic thinker
  • Superior time management, project management and prioritization skills

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

Salary Range: $98,200 - $137,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
