Job Summary



Manage and direct all engineering services and support activities to execute the technical strategy for packaging and processing operations. This includes the development and implementation of a capital investment strategy based on business needs and the voice of the customer. Candidate must be knowledgeable of equipment design and be able to plan and support all details related to the execution phase of projects including mechanical and electrical installations. Candidate should be confident applying cost effective manufacturing concepts, methods, processes, and procedures.

Job Requirements :





Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience. Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred.


 Five (5) to ten (10) years working in advanced manufacturing, equipment design, robotics, applied engineering, automation or other manufacturing environment requiring a strong technical background. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and cross cultural communication skills are essential to support projects, particularly ones with international elements. Solid Time Management capabilities. Entrepreneurship attitude. Experience in a Lean/Six Sigma environment is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 




Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  1. In conjunction with the Director(s) of Manufacturing, develop and justify the capital equipment plan for packaging operations.
  1. Procure all necessary approvals for engineering projects and activities.
  1. Participate in appropriate budget and financial planning activities.
  1. Maintain state of the art knowledge of packaging technology and provide appropriate advisee or recommendations to management concerning improvements or upgrades in packaging operations.
  1. Design the layout of manufacturing operations to maximize efficient material flow and optimum application of the technological means of production.
  1. Design, Identify, select, cost justify, purchase, install, upgrade, modify, and improve capital equipment used in packaging.
  1. Where necessary, design and supervise the building of specialty equipment that will enhance the productivity of packaging operations.
  1. Perform project work in a timely manner and within budget.
  1. Analyze, recommend, and implement activities that will maximize productivity and minimize cost in application of the technological and labor resources to the manufacturing process.
  1. Must ensure complete project management of all capital projects, including achieving all project deliverables, equipment installation, commissioning, start up and handover to the operations team.
  1. Creates PM instructions and critical spare parts lists for new equipment.
  1. Ensure the training of operations personnel on new equipment.
  1. Supervise the activities of sub-contractors, suppliers, and service personnel.
  1. Manage and implement all L’Oreal policies and procedures including but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Policy, safety and health procedures, etc.
  1. Implementation of continuous improvement and/or optimization projects including; 5S, TPM, SMED, Line optimization, Waste reduction etc.
