We have a suitable opportunity in the Corporate division for the position of Manager – Purchase MICE. In this individual contributor role, you will pursue and establish business partnership and vendor relationship for goods and services and train departments and vendors on purchasing procedures. You should have 5 to 8 years of professional experience with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) Agency / Hotels/Transport and procurement expertise is a must. The location of the job will be in Mumbai.


Key Responsibilities

  • To understand and service the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events), Travel and Accommodation, transport, venue sourcing needs of Internal stakeholders
  • To conduct purchasing activity in line with the Group’s purchasing policy and Group Values
  • To define price base line with Zone and identify savings opportunities
  • To establish and provide reports
  • To strategise sourcing to optimize vendor base and improve savings
  • To evaluate and create a supplier pool based on purchasing policy; develop network with chosen suppliers at local and APAC level
  • To conduct negotiations in regard to quality of service and payment terms leading to the signature of Master Contracts

Key Deliverables

  • You will increase purchase coverage and financial savings
  • You will optimize vendor base through vendor consolidation

Key Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of stakeholders needs, external markets & category spend drivers
  • Budget planning in accordance with finance controls & other internal stake holders
  • Ability to develop tailored strategies for the categories
  • Profound category understanding / expertise
  • Interactions with local Marketing teams, Zone, senior management and Purchasing Corporate teams
  • Gain cooperation in implementing significant change in systems, practices and procedures 

Key Relationships:

  • Internal Interactions – Internal Brand and Support Team
  • External Interactions – Hotels, event management companies, travel partners and venue sourcing suppliers

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong technical and/or purchasing experience in category
