Job Summary:

Support respective region/coasts free-standing stores with all education functions including facilitating group trainings, in-store coaching with Associates, in-store selling and any additional training in-store support. Support select NYX Professional Makeup events as directed.  Coach teams to increase sales and maximize productivity through effective floor supervision and selling skills. Train and coach managers to become strong team leaders and coaches.  Ensure that all Central coast NYX stores are effectively implementing all NYX training tools provided.  Work in partnership with the Director of Retail Training, and closely with the AVP of Retail Sales and the District Manager of the Central coast to ensure brand standards are being met.  Make certain that in-store personnel are upholding all brand core values and act as daily brand ambassadors. Have the ability to execute a high skill of makeup artistry, in order to observe and modify the makeup art abilities and customer service skill levels. Conduct and maintain records/roster of associates in the free-standing stores. Provide expedient communication to the Store Managers regarding staff performance, ability and morale. Evaluate training needs and suggest methods of addressing these needs to the Store Manager and Director of Training. Attend retail and NYX departmental meetings/visits as needed. Travel by air and car is required.

 

Job Requirements:

-College degree plus minimum of 3 years’ experience in cosmetics, apparel, or home sales/training or management position

-In-store field experience at management level required

-Excellent written communication skills

-Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

-Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

-Ability to travel throughout territory. Approximately 50-60% travel

-Retail business awareness and acumen

-Strong customer service and selling skills

-Proven experience in coaching sales associates to maximize sales productivity

 

Judgment and Decision Making:

-Assess training needs in designated territory

-Execute trainings as designed by Education team

-Moderate supervision required for this position

 

The positon requires moderate physical effort. Training equipment kits (weighing approximately 40lbs.) must be lifted and transferred to and from vehicles and training venues. During training, packing, unpacking and setup of materials is required.
