Kiehl’s Since 1851 seeks a Social Media Manager who is excited to join the Kiehl’s Integrated Communications team and accelerate the brand in the influencer space. Our ideal candidate should have previous beauty/skincare PR or communications experience (4-7 years) and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

The role of the Social Media Manager will include (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:

  • Overview:
    • Manage all aspects of the go-to market influencer content plans, i.e. budget forecasting, talent pricing, content flighting, creative guidelines, scheduling and reporting
  • Relationship management:
    • Update and maintain influencer database
    • Vet, maintain and grow relationships with key social influencers and influencer agencies  
    • Host influencer 1:1s on a weekly basis
    • Share new relevant talent with Dir of Social and VP of Integrated Comms on a monthly basis
    • Manage the influencer contracting/negotiation process with internal legal team and external management agencies
  • Mailings:
    • Strategize and execute large volume of influencer product mailers and requests
    • Implement and manage daily monitoring and tracking of influencer placements
    • Oversee and manage influencer product inventory
  • Eventing:
  • Lead the influencer event programming, including:
    • Conceptualizing the event creative and working with the teams on printed/digital collateral
    • Vendor management
    • Event coordination and logistics
    • Onsite talent management and talent concierge support
    • Creation and distribution of post report
  • Create and share weekly + monthly reports on influencer activity (paid and organic) with senior leadership to merchandise the ROI and effectiveness of influencer marketing programs
  • Analyze and share insights from the CMO reports that highlight influencer activity internally and externally
  • Alongside AVP of PR, build and implement an influencer advocacy program that empowers them to champion Kiehl’s charity initiatives
  • Integrated Communications:
    • Support and attend of PR-related and industry events as needed
    • Heavy Administrative duties including weekly/monthly influencer reporting, management product, product ordering and PO & invoice processing for influencer programs
    • Collaborate with Social Team on all campaigns and activations to ensure alignment for maximum reach and results

Experience, Competencies and Physical Requirements:

 
  • BA in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in campaign, influencer management or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including both speaking, presenting and listening
  • Extremely well organized; able to effectively multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment
  • Strong administrative and leadership skills to maintain high standards and coordinate staff effectively
  • Self-starter with a high level of professionalism and demonstrated initiative, judgment, decisiveness, confidence and discretion.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Meticulous attention to detail, resourceful, with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Well-versed in all social media platforms and the skincare landscape
  • Team player who is excited to learn and thrive within a fast-growing company
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including Traackr, Netbase, Rival IQ, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to sit and use normal office equipment (phone, computer etc) more than 90% of the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs
