What You Will Do: 

The L’Oreal Streetsboro International Distribution Center is in search of a Senior Manager for it’s 650,000 Square Foot facility with 100+ employees. The site processes 250M units per year, 14M Cartons, Receiving 130K+, and Shipping 130K + Pallets per year. 2023 and 2024 will be busy and exciting years for the DC, as we will launch a new WMS, implement new technologies within our picking operations, and also, continue our path of instituting Continuous Improvement Ways of Working within our DC.

In the first year of this exciting role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of our new Warehouse Management System (Manhattan) in collaboration with our Corporate Partners. The Leader will lead a group of 4 individuals at the site level, while working alongside the corporate team to design, implement and launch our new WMS (Manhattan).

In 2024, the Senior Manager will transition into leading site Inventory Control, Planning, Scheduling, Slotting and possibly logistics. This role does not currently exist, so it will be an opportunity to build a transformational role!

  • Participation in Manhattan design gap analysis and Business Diagnostics. Work in close alignment with the Core Manhattan team Project Manager.
  • Lead and guide the site management team and Key users in the change and transition to Manhattan.
  • Be responsible for ensuring Manhattan solution proficiency amongst the site team.
  • Establish project activity and progress trackers to inform stakeholders of project status.
  • Own and manage risks associated to deployment progress.
  • Prepare the implementation of the Manhattan LMS module.
  • Work externally with stakeholders to align their organizations for new ways of interacting with the DC with Manhattan.
  • Monitor and review the implementation progress post go-live.
  • Act as a key stakeholder and participate in Hypercare.
  • Support Manhattan PM lead on the Streetsboro Manhattan roadmap and meetings, planning to key milestones.

What We Are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4 year degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as 8 waste, root cause analysis i.e. 5why, fishbone, Value Stream Mapping, 7 or 8 Step Problem Solving, Standard Work, and Leader Standard Work
  • Understanding of WMS and LMS systems
  • Understanding of picking operations which include case, loose pick 
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience required.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, project management, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and
  • Computer proficiency including SAP, Word, Excel
  • WMS implementation preferred
