Tax Manager (m/f)

Your impact in this role:
§ Guide and advise the country CFO and the accounting teams on tax compliance regulations: tax returns, tax payments, etc.
§ Monitors tax claims, tax credits, flows (customs formalities, tax deductions)
§ Monitor tax statements and determine taxable income in accordance with local tax regulations by country and the Group's Tax Charter. Supervise the tax declarations process and assist in the determination of the taxable result in compliance with local regulations by country and the Group’s Tax Charter
§ Advise and provide all necessary technical support to the different internal stakeholders (CFO, General Managers, and Divisions & Departments) in carrying out standard or exceptional operations.
§ Tax planning & tax optimization for all legal entities: construct the tax plan & the strategy by anticipating, identifying, evaluating and monitoring the tax risks and opportunities for the area
§ Manage tax risks and litigation files in conjunction with the Group's Tax Department.
§ Develop close coordination and cohesion with the Zone and the Group Tax department (Transfer Pricing, M&A, Customs and Reporting) for relevant tax matters
§ Monitor the information in the main tax files (transfer prices, calculation of tax, differed tax, tax consolidation, customs matters) in conjunction with local authorities, the Consolidation Department and the Group's Tax Department.
§ Build effective working relationships with the local tax authorities and lead the management and coordination of tax audits/litigations
§ Remain constantly up-to-date with legislative and local regulatory developments on country level that may affect internal practices and, if the need arises, notify the Group's Tax Department.
§ Communicate efficiently with the Internal Tax network to alert and raise awareness of tax matters relating to business projects and risks (CFOs, tax contacts within the Zone and the Group Tax Department)
§ Develop an efficient professional network to collect best practices, tax alerts…and to represent the Company’s interests on tax issues when necessary
§ Lead and manage external tax providers (lawyers, advisers…)
This regional position includes following of tax regulations in Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE:
§ University Degree (preferably in finance or business / economics)
§ 5-10 years of experience in international company or in Tax Service
§ Hands-on experience in actual implementation of tax regulations
§ Ability to understand quickly operational issues and propose tax-efficient solutions
§ Excellent interpersonal skills and communication capabilities with positive attitude
§ Ability to lead & work with all levels of staff from other departments
§ Ability to convince & implement recommendations
§ Ability to take on challenge and work under pressure
§ Business driven & eager for achieving and outperforming targets
§ Excellent communication skills English
§ Ambitious to grow with a fast expanding company
§ Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Products an advantage
§ Ability to make accurate & understanding report (in English) on tax issues.
