The Head, Integration Architecture is a fulltime position within Integration Services team in the ‘Architecture’ organization (comprising of Enterprise Architecture, Integration Services, and Tech Factory) of AMER IT.

 

This function will lead Integration Services’ Architecture function in the Zone, while ensuring full partnership with the global Architecture organization and design guidelines.

 

  • The ideal candidate will be motivated and a detail-oriented professional who can lead architecture and design governance contributing to the solution design, deployment, run and change processes for Integration capabilities.
  • The ideal candidate must have a passion for the next generation architecture, application, and platform performance, as well as governance.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead architecture and design activities to align with rapidly evolving business needs, while remaining highly performant, reliable, and resilient. Understand business drivers and work closely with other IT verticals and business platforms to deliver a cohesive and fully interoperable set of solutions.
  • Support the rapid intake of new projects and initiatives in alignment with L’Oréal’s acquisitions.
  • Engage with Enterprise Architecture governance body by participating in project architecture and align project teams on improvements/solutions based on best practices, IT Strategic directions and current state of the art.
  • Contribute in development of the technical specification documents and/or position papers
    1. Contribute to definition of architecture principles, patterns and best practices
    2. Contribute to services KPI monitoring and reporting
    3. Maintain product roadmap and standards that assure product development projects optimally align with business objectives.
  • Build strong relationship with platform vendors and ensure continuous learning and knowledge sharing through internal and external expert network
  • Grow junior architects to ensure a talent pipeline that is both beneficial for our teams, as well as for the Integration function.

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to evaluate the project position from business / technical architecture aspects addressing business capabilities, macro processes, application, integration, data, privacy, security, DevOps, and Infrastructure elements.
  • Minimum 10 years’ technical experience in IT
  • Minimum 5 years in an engineering capacity coordinating complex, multi-group projects with team members in geographically dispersed location.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle including waterfall, scrum, and Agile would be plus. 
  • Tech platform expertise: Cloud platforms – Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Amazon AWS, cloud consumption models (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), on-prem Infrastructure platforms VMWare, SAN, High Density infrastructure, Cloud migration tools for optimization and allocation, Terraform orchestration, automation technologies for delivery of ready-to-consume infrastructure.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders by leveraging strong leadership, negotiation, and technical skills
  • Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
  • Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype
  • IT strategic development skills
  • Understanding business models while applying the systems thinking
  • Understanding and performing operational tasks
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
