PURCHASING (PROCUREMENT) BUSINESS PARTNER

A DAY IN THE LIFE

The Purchasing Business Partner reports into the Head of Business Partnering and contributes to the efficiency of the Purchasing department. This role ensures that internal control rules are respected at all times, monitors and manages risk and supports the L’Oréal for the Future program.

The Purchasing Business Partner is oriented toward the needs of the Division it represents and is the key interconnector between the business teams and the Sourcing Buyers to ensure that the conditions for trust are created and a high level of service delivered.

 

You Will:

  1. Develop an excellent understanding of the strategic direction of the Division you represent and share this understanding with the Sourcing Buyers to ensure that appropriate buying strategies are adopted that best suit the needs of your division. 
  2. Share and ensure the correct implementation of the relevant buying strategy within the Division, ensuring that the right suppliers are selected and that the commercial principles within their contract are respected at all times – guaranteeing the delivery of budgeted efficiencies, maximising the number of Solidarity Sourcing beneficiaries and safeguarding our LT4f and ethic commitments.   
  3. Act as the primary point of contact for Purchasing for all stakeholders within your division, building strong working relationships that are built on mutual trust, collaboration and challenge.        
  4. Support the Budget process by identifying saving opportunities within your division. Realise savings goals by managing division specific tenders. Analyse divisional needs and challenge demand, drive cost out of the value chain and challenge inefficiencies. Track and report your savings in each Trend.  
  5. Build excellent working relationships with our suppliers, ensure their day-to-day performance is in line with our expectations and provide feedback to the Sourcing Buyers in respect of their strategic performance. 
  6. Support the Purchasing teams strategic aims by seeking to maintain supplier numbers at an optimum level, supporting the business’ payment on time goals and ensuring data quality on our e-procurement tool – Mysourcing.
  7. Ensure the proper use of MyMarket, challenging your stakeholders where appropriate and managing day-to-day queries.
