What You Will Do:

You will lead and manage the overall Creative / communications calendar, logistics, and process. This Creative Director will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will interact with cross-functional partners to ensure that BRAND visual standards are met and continuously elevated. The position will create 2D Creative programs & 3D Visual Merchandising elements and will oversee visual expression of the brand in-store. They would be responsible for operational deliverables in the merchandising timeline, streamlining communication and processes throughout the development process.  This would include, but would not be limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:  

Job Duties and Accountabilities

  • Box set design production, Pre-press packaging, including mechanical and dies for printing process.
  • Printing Ad and collateral, Pre-press, including mechanical and dies for printing process.
  • Color proofing and matching.
  • Ensure perfect Visual Merchandising execution in NY metro area for the following Distribution: DS, Specialty, FSS, Open sell environments

Create Merchandising Directives and Planograms, work cross functionally with US and DMI Brand.  This includes Store Design, Visual, Creative, Sales Admin, Marketing, Creative Operation and Purchasing.

  • Develop understanding of brand direction to ensure in-store execution is on brand.
  • New Launch / Hallmark / seasonal displays and key retailer in post store displays: Create and Develop and adapt Visual and collaterals for all distribution mentioned.
  • In-case Visual Merchandising program and environment: Partner with Store design to develop visual merchandising concepts. 

Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity

  • Will have ownership of the DMI creative relationship for creative / VM- strong ability to co-collaborate with DMI brand partners and provide viable solutions that fit the US market. KEY seasonal Hall mark programs are a priority and require highly creative solutions that meet the brands codes and are continuously elevated.
  • Strives to deliver operational excellence; aligned with market specificities to ensure high standard of quality in POS material that meet material sustainability codes
  • Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment; contribute ideas, be persuasive/defend design solutions whilst remaining flexible and open to other’s points of view
  • Superior organizational skills; handle multiple projects, and ability to adjust to pressing priorities
  • Strong 2 D technical and visual merchandising 3D background

  • Drive DMI collaboration/ relationship for Creative/ VM on all Lifestyle brands: marketing; sales & planning teams, finance, purchasing and suppliers

  • Ownership of all communication styles + presentation

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years of graphic design, packaging & Visual Merchandising experience - Self Assisted / Specialty store / Department store VM, beauty experience highly preferred
  • Strong 2D / 3D VM technical background use of following program; ADOBE creative suite, Sketchup

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, Graphic Designer, Industrial Designer, Visual Design, Merchandising,
