What You Will Do: 

In this role you will manage the execution of Physical Distribution of finished goods to retail/drug customers which include reception, storage and fulfillment. Working cross functionally with Supply Chain business partners such as Transportation, Customer Service and Inventory Management to be able to fulfill shipments to customers on-time and in-full.

  • Coordinate activities of Distribution personnel to ensure Inbound and Outbound operations are meeting flow requirements
  • Coordinates assembly line operations in a very fast paced environment. Supervise fulltime staff along with temporary labor (20 temps) 
  • Plan and disseminate workload according to customer orders
  • Coordinate 3PL / Outside Storage partners when necessary
  • Ensure efficient flow of products from L'Oreal to our customers, meeting all shared fundamental service goals
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with our internal partners (Customer Care, Supply Chain Finance, Inventory Management, etc.)
  • Control and reconcile inventory
  • Manage the operation of Product Life Cycle within the DC
  • Develop capacity and production models to insure maximum labor efficiency
  • Work cross-functionally to determine and implement priority logistical initiatives and customized strategies to maximize supply chain performance and efficiency
  • Coordinate operations with Display Assembly onsite in Distribution Center
  • Provide leadership in all high performing team and Safety, Health and Environmental-related activities
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement & Quality department on projects and initiatives
  • Implement Pulse feedback initiatives and Simplicity activities
  • Ensure a safe workplace - Zero Lost time accidents
  • Develop and manage capital expenditure ROI
  • Drive a productive, efficient team with Budget/Productivity expectations met
  • Mentor and develop direct reports and drive development plans and actions across all levels

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Education: BA/BS degree, in Supply Chain Management or related field required
  • Experience: 3-5 years distribution center operations experience required
  • Technical Experience: 2-3 years SAP warehouse management module experience required; Microsoft Office experience with emphasis on Excel required
  • Labor Management System (LMS) experience a plus
  • Assembly promotional material co-packing a plus
  • Understanding of WMS and LMS systems
  • Understanding of picking operations which include case, loose pick 
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience required.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, project management, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and
  • Computer proficiency including SAP, Word, Excel
