STOCK CONTROLLER
TRAFFORD PARK
1 YEAR FTC/SECONDMENT


Due to growing business needs animated by new Warehouse Management System implementation, we are looking to extend our Stock Control Team, and we are looking for Stock Controllers to join the team on a 1-year fixed term contract based at our Trafford Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong organizational mindset and possess leadership skills and be willing to develop and learn. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Gain expertise in SAP Warehouse management
  • Carry out regular inventory counting. Be responsible for achieving cycle counting objectives alongside your colleagues
  • Be responsible for ensuring warehouse master data for our product portfolio is accurate and compliant with our internal picking processes
  • Cooperate with multiple teams – Customer Supply Chain, Master data team, Operational teams, Co-pack as you focus on reducing delays within the order flow cycle
  • Be responsible for prioritizing stock movements in the DC
  • Be responsible for allocating pickfaces to all products
  • Solve queries and error handling for all areas of the operation in a timely manner
  • Investigate customer dispute claims in a timely manner
  • Liaise with external vendors supplying external warehousing for the division
  • Be responsible for continuous improvement to the physical layout of the picking zones of the DC
  • Process destructions aligned to business procedure
  • Safety above all else, we are all responsible for our own and others safety, help to deliver site wide EHS objectives
  • Other duties and projects as directed by the Logistics Organisational Team Manager


WHO YOU ARE

  • The ability to work and make effective decisions with a level of autonomy
  • Strong attention to detail as you will be the gatekeeper and provider of information into our SAP systems
  • Good IT skills – in particular you need confidence in e-mail communication and have prior experience of Excel
  • Good organisational skills, a logical approach and the ability to constantly prioritise work and analyse problems
  • The ability to follow one of L'Oréal's maxim’s in completing what you start – taking ownership and delivering is important
  • A desire to grow in the role and to bring new dimensions to any team you work with
  • An understanding of L'Oréal's operational procedures and working practices and where improvements can be generated
  • A will to improve and to succeed
  • A flexible approach to work tasks and working hours in order to meet the needs of the business
