Squad team: Junior Data Engineer
Job summary
Support Data team Product Owners delivering multiple data products for L’Oreal UKI under the management and supervision of Senior Technical Analyst
● Reporting to Senior Technical Analyst to execute multiple technical support projects (e.g. automation of data extractions)
● Independently delivering technical data / analytics projects with support from Senior Technical Analyst and / or specific Product Owners (POs)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Technical Analyst:
● Support Senior Technical Analyst on specific Data products development/ improvement and technical support activities
● Develop and execute multiple technical projects
● Interact with several stakeholders from the Data team (POs) to support their projects
● Support scaling Data products across UKI business divisions
● Document data sources and flows for internal purposes, service providers and users
Skills & Qualifications
MsC Software Engineering/ Computer science or comparable
Technical experience - demonstrable years’ experience in…
● Development and maintenance of data & ETL pipelines
● Cleaning and preparation of data sources
● Modularising, corner case exceptions handling
● Implementing reusability by defining global classes & functions
● Complex SQL joins, indexing and H&V partitioning
● Intermediate to advanced level SQL, Python and GCP
● Development and maintenance of processes to ensure data quality including incident management
● Managing multiple technical projects and teams in a business context, structuring and controlling for project execution performance in an agile environment
● Working in cross-functional & global teams demonstrating initiative with little oversight
