Lancôme Marketing is looking for a game-changing consumer marketing leader: collaborative, passionate, innovative and data-driven to help drive Lancôme to the next level.  The VP of Consumer Connections is the brand’s lead consumer strategist tasked with diving into all facets of consumer data to synthesize learnings and create the optimal go-to-market strategy. 

The VP of Consumer Connections will have oversight of Brand Engagement and Consumer Activation for the brand.  The individual in this role will define, lead and implement Lancôme’s brand voice and image among consumers.  Additionally, this role will lead a data-driven marketing approach across the entire brand, ensuring that all major stakeholders understand the synthesized data points we’ve gathered on our consumer as well as how to best activate on these. 

Through Brand Engagement, the goal will be to create stronger consumer connection and engagement, driving brand love by leading the go-to market of all consumer facing communications activations inclusive of media, social (paid, owned and earned), influencer marketing, digital content optimization and SEO.  As a results-obsessed and data-driven marketer, you will oversee reporting and metrics to ensure KPIs are established, measured and utilized to optimize plans.  Additionally, this individual will work closely with the Head of Marketing and marketing teams to strategize and develop the content strategy by continuously optimizing assets across all digital channels and maximizing SEO potential.  By embracing the spirit of the brand, this individual will foster innovation with breakthrough influencer programs and campaigns, piloting new media activations and developing presence on new social platforms. 

Through the lens of Consumer Activation, this individual will work closely with the Consumer Data Activation Lead (CDAL) to drive data driven recommendations regarding holistic campaigns, channel strategies, tactic shifts and email marketing strategies. 

This role drives collaboration and influences multiple levels of leadership to drive key deliverables to support the development of customer-centric programs that drive profitable, long-term relationships.

Strong leadership and the ability to influence will be critical in this role as you will manage social media agency relationships and collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, DMI, D2C, and Luxe Division teams to activate plans. 

Job Requirements (Minimum number years of experience, skills, certification and academic background required to perform this job):

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of digital marketing, social media marketing, digital content management or similar experience, with a deep emphasis on makeup and beauty.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills building trusting partnerships and building a strong communications strategy and network.
  • Ability to effectively structure and articulate presentations to foster learning
  • Strategic thinking, impeccable organizational skills, a talent for process management and relationship building, plus solid creative writing, business writing and proofreading skills are absolutely essential.
  • Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Familiar with executive level reporting and communication. 
* Salary Range: $ $177,300 to $252,700  (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)

Defines & implements Lancome’s brand voice and image across all consumer facing digital channels to drive awareness and build consumer connection. High-level decision-making skills are required.

Potential for international travel to Paris for meetings with global marketing team perhaps 1x per year.
