The Development Experience:
L’Oréal USA is looking for business-savvy, experienced, innovative MBAs to join us for an exclusive 12-month experience as a Marketing Chief of Staff in our Luxe division in New York.
In this role you will work alongside one of our Executive Leaders in Marketing / General Management in the Luxe Division to serve as their “right-hand” as they lead their business over the course of a 12-month tenure. During this time, you will be assessed on your performance and contributions to the business, but also on your potential to become a leader at L’Oréal. We will evaluate core competencies of resiliency, vision, strategy, ambition, and leadership to then consider placing you in a management role in a specific brand across L’Oréal USA. What You’ll Do:
Through supporting a GM in the day-to-day operations of the business and leading special projects, you will gain a critical understanding of the strategic priorities of the Division, both short and long-term. You will learn about the intricacies of the broader portfolio, business model, distribution footprint, retailer context, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and everything involved in the Division’s go-to-market strategy. In this unique role, your work will be broad, ranging from developing strategic business recommendations, to working collaboratively on cross-functional projects with partners at all levels of the organization, to project managing and creating presentations for C-suite business reviews.
As a second key accountability of your role, you will have a dotted line to an Executive Leader in Sales to help drive critical insights for the Division from the perspective of one of our key retailers. This involves assisting in the creation of a forward-thinking plan of growth for your assigned retail partner and providing learnings to the organization on market shifts, growth initiatives, and competitive intelligence. You will drive competitive analysis, track promotional activities, and organize the reporting of insights/best practices pertaining to your assigned retailer. This role includes the creation of deliverables and accelerators (i.e. maintaining a comprehensive Retailer Playbook, for instance), along with project management duties (i.e. meeting scheduling/management, etc.). The goal of this part of your role is to provide you with deep, hands-on experience with a select, strategic retail partner, knowing that our retailer relationships are a core pillar of success for L’Oréal USA.
