Retail Brand Manager – REDKEN & Pureology - PPD
Previous Experience:
Background in similar positions with exposure to VM and/or in-store retail activation and/or Product Marketing
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Be responsible for:
Business targets & operations
• Be the link between brand marketing team and the PPD commercial team.
• Own the forecasting process for the retail channel, working closely with the commercial teams and liaising closely with supply chain.
• Work closely with the Commercial sales team and marketing teams to achieve brand Conso targets via shopper-centric, differentiated retailer marketing plans, owning the full shopper journey.
• Retailer promo plan input - Collaborating with commercial team on promo plan to drive YOY growth.
• Brand management keeping up to date with brand values and vision, new launches & key brand moments.
• Be the Shopper expert knowing the shopper inside out, working with CMI and providing that info to the rest of the team.
• Manage A&P budget for your projects.
• Reporting Provide monthly sell out reporting and analysis across channels and categories.
• Build best in class retailer strategy decks grounded in data insights, working hand in hand with commercial & marketing.
• Own the range review process from a brand side, collaborating with marketing, commercial & category teams.
Store Strategy & Targets
• Achieve Store sales targets in sell in and sell out.
• Lead the forecasting and stock on shelf availability.
• EPOS / insights reporting cascading weekly insights to update the team on performance + action plan for growth.
• Own the shopper journey in stores and drive success of shopper marketing.
• Manage Sampling, GWP and seasonal product bundle initiatives.
• Improve range navigation at point of sale: Work closely with PPD category management & visual merchandising on hierarchies and planograms.
• Lead store staff engagement & incentives.
• Professional & Luxury execution / shopper experience, reflecting our professional DNA – showcasing how our products have a professional difference on the market.
• Establish the product hierarchy and input to the format strategy for each brand, differentiated by retailer.
• Be the marketing lead on retailer eventing and cross-brand activations.
Client relations
• Present at key strategy days with retailers
• Lead the store kit for each cycle.
• Be the brand go-to for distributor activations.
Merchandising
• Own Merchandising by retailer – working hand in hand with marketing and visual merchandising.
• Manage any merchandising agencies & budget.
• Lead the briefing of retailer-specific assets, adapting content where necessary (imagery & copy)
WHO YOU ARE
• Experience and passion for marketing, with a shopper and consumer-centric mindset.
• Educated - to a degree level, ideally with a business- or marketing background.
• Marketing savvy - with the ability to take shopper and market insights all the way through to activation and ROI analysis.
• Highly entrepreneurial mindset – autonomy, strategic thinking and collaboration are critical to drive our brands.
• Vision – able to create and develop a vision, taking the lead on motivating the wider business.
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and excellent presentation skills, able to influence and inspire any audience.
• Creativity - attention to detail along with a genuine passion for beauty and skincare
• Know how to manage complexity in terms of number stakeholders, projects, timelines and clarity of message.
• Resilience and flexibility – the ability to adapt to dynamic business and market demands, overcoming challenges and driving success in an innovate way.
• Practical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• A process driven and structured approach - with excellent project and time management skills.
• Experience working as part of a team and independently.
• Strong analytical skills & commercial acumen with advanced competency to draw conclusions & insights from data sets.
• Prioritization skills - with an ability to drive your projects forward from start to finish autonomously.
• You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) & Nielsen and strong numeric ability.
