Job Title Assistant Vice President – Revenue Growth Management

SalonCentric has an opening for an Assistant Vice President, Revenue Growth Management (RGM).   This role will build the RGM function to become a strategic consulting and analytics group to help understand market and consumer dynamics and drive profitable growth through pricing and promotional strategy with a focus on making data-driven and business-informed recommendations. Common work includes consulting with upper management on strategic business decisions, discrete choice modeling (Conjoint), promotional ROI analysis, financial modeling, and syndicated data analysis. 

 

This role will focus on building a team and RGM function that focuses on consulting with internal stakeholders (in marketing, sales, finance, and operations) to build profitable growth across all brands and categories with SalonCentric. Topics typically includes pricing strategy across new and existing products, promotion strategy, product/channel mix, and other RGM topics. The AVP will work closely with other RGM leaders and teams in helping to drive forward the broader function in the organization in the US and globally, as well as training and coaching direct reports.

 

What we’re looking for in our future team members

  • Ability to consult with and influence senior management on strategic topics 
  • Owns and develops holistic strategies that keep in mind the needs the consumer, retailers and the Division
  • Able to determine the right solution and resources needed to address different questions  
  • A strong storyteller who can explain advanced analytics to a layman using simple terms and is comfortable presenting to upper-level management 
  • Aims to build relationships with other teams to further their knowledge and impact within the company 
  • Analytically minded with a focus on solving complex business problems through analysis and a strong understanding of our internal business strategy 

 

From a background and experience perspective

  • 10+ years of experience working in revenue management, strategic consulting, or strategic and commercial roles withing the consumer goods or beauty industry. 
  • Understanding of consumer-focused pricing strategies and how they connect to product financial structures 
  • Experience working across marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to help drive strategic decisions 
  • Educational background in Data Analytics/Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Economics or Marketing 
  • Familiar with both primary consumer research and syndicated data sources (such as Nielsen or IRI)
  • Able to independently plan and execute complex analysis 
  • Experience managing/guiding junior analysts in their work 
  • Experience presenting complex concepts and recommendations to senior leadership 
  • Nice to have: 
    1. Industry experience 
    2. Knowledge/experience with discrete choice modeling (Conjoint Analysis)
    3. Experience with optimizing consumer promotion strategy
