Overview:

 

The Assistant Marketing Manager role will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning and execution of the 360 marketing plans. The candidate should be an expert at compiling informed consumer and market insights from multiple qualitative and quantitative (Nielsen, Profitero) sources. They will work very closely with the cross-functional squad, especially the Category head, Brand marketers and the Omni-Shopper, to share conclusions and trends that translate into insights and business recommendations relevant to the overall growth of the brand in the hair color category.

 

They will own and lead the FSI strategy, execution, and measurement/tracking of pricing and promotional strategies for the entire category in partnership with the Category head and Omni-shopper.  

 

Additionally, the Assistant Marketing Manager will own the execution of assigned brand activation plans & with time learn to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, media planning, instore and online merchandising relating to the brand.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect, aggregate, and synthesize sales, market and consumer data
  • Track sales of the category on a weekly basis and provide key insights, challenges/risks and opportunities to the Category Head, BBD team and broader squad.
  • Create and update launch trackers
  • Monitor reviews and ratings and consumer sentiment through social listening to report back learnings and insights
  • Conduct competitive research including new launches, pricing, and sales drivers
  • Conduct competitive media tracking as well as social and ecom monitoring
  • Track trends that impact the category (via Google/SEO, etc.) and translate into insights
  • Responsible for preparing all upfront business analytics for meetings including category performance, drivers and other specific analysis requested by the Category Head.
  • Execution of brand activations plans as assigned by N+1.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of corporate experience
  • Marketing or sales experience in the beauty or CPG industries

  • Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data
  • PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
