We have a suitable opening in the Corporate Division of Procurement function for the role of Assistant Manager Procurement based in Mumbai. You come with a relevant experience of 5 – 7 years in indirect procurement with specialization in marketing collateral/services category and are adept at bringing innovation, cost inefficiencies, risks management of the portfolio. This is an individual contributor role and applicants from the industry of Consumer goods, FMCG and Retail will be advantageous.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will strategize sourcing in different categories of Gifts with Purchase (GWP) and promotional material to optimize vendor base and improve savings
  • You will select, evaluate and put together a supplier pool based on the criteria set forth in the purchasing policy, develop close relations with chosen suppliers at LOCAL and APAC level
  • You will establish yearly country budget and savings and provide reporting over the year (year to date, trends vs Budget)
  • You will lead the negotiations in regard to quality of material and commercial


Key Deliverables:

  • You will increase purchase coverage and financial savings
  • You will optimize vendor base through vendor consolidation


Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of stakeholder needs, supply market and category spend drivers
  • Budget construction in accordance with Finance controls and other internal stakeholders
  • Ability to develop tailored strategies for the categories managed
  • Strong interactions within country marketing team, stakeholders, zone top management and purchasing corporate
  • Able to gain cooperation in implementing significant change in systems, practices, and procedures


Key Relationships:

  • Internal Stakeholders – Business division, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations teams
  • External Stakeholders – GWP and promotional material suppliers in India and overseas

  • Travel will be need based

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with procurement experience
