What You Will Do:
 
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to join our Manufacturing Storeroom team. Must have good computer skills, interpersonal skills, and some mechanical background to assist all departments in the acquisition of all necessary resources to complete their work.  Is accountable for a storeroom inventory of $2 million.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.

 

  1. Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.

 

  1. Maintain accurate receipt and inventory records utilizing SAP and Maintenance Connection. 

 

  1. Is responsible for the inventory and work order management system (Maintenance Connection). 
  2. Is responsible for training of new personnel on the inventory management system (Maintenance Connection). 

 

  1. Manages 2 million dollars in inventory and is responsible to continuously improve the sourcing, costing, and performance of purchased items. 

 

  1. Must know the various components that are used in all the “trades” so as to make parts readily available to mechanics upon request.

 

  1. Must follow established procedures affecting the ordering, maintenance and usage of components housed in the parts room.

 

  1. Must keep the parts room clean and organized for ready access to components. 

 

  1. Must maintain an inventory of machine parts, materials, components, etc. as directed by management.

 

  1. Responsible for writing purchase requisitions as requested by mechanics and process through management and finance for approval. 

 

  1. Maintain clean and orderly storage areas outside the area of the Parts Room. 

 

  1. Maintain a regulatory compliant area for all chemicals.

 

  1. Procure and file with the Engineering Dept. all documentation (MSDS) required for chemicals passing through the parts room.

 

  1. Assist in the instruction and training of other employees as directed.

 

  1. Other duties and projects as necessary or assigned.

 

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.  Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a Consumer Packaging Manufacturing Storeroom Environment.  Technical training preferred.

Physical Requirements:
 

  • Lifting: The position may involve lifting and moving objects weighing up to [specify weight] on a regular basis. This includes lifting from floor to waist height, overhead, and carrying items for extended periods. 
  • Bending: The role may require frequent bending, stooping, and squatting to access lower shelves, products, or equipment. 
  • Twisting: The job may involve twisting or turning of the body to reach items, operate machinery, or navigate within confined spaces. 
  • Standing and Walking: The position may necessitate prolonged periods of standing or walking within the distribution center. 
  • Repetitive Motions: Some tasks may involve repetitive motions, such as operating machinery controls, scanning barcodes, or sorting products. 
  • Use of Assistive Equipment: Individuals may be required to use material handling equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks, to aid in lifting and transporting heavy items.
