Overview: The DMI (Global Marketing and Product Innovation Team) lead is responsible for driving brand growth by managing current product portfolio, creating innovative launch plans and establishing long-term vision. This position’s primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough products, communications, and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing business & competitive analysis, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate the brand’s growth.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the strategy and 3-year product pipeline for Carol’s Daughter in collaboration with founder Lisa Price
  • Propose breakthrough concepts that target unique consumer insights and address business needs
  • Identify ways to refresh existing products to maintain competitive edge
  • Research, define and decode trends within each segment (prestige & mass)
  • Establish and implement brand equity and creative guidelines across all touch points
  • Analyze data from Nielsen, conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify business needs
  • Partner with R&I to identify first-to-market and sustainable technologies that address consumer needs
  • Manage the end-to-end claims process in collaboration with R&I
  • Collaborate with Creative to produce breakthrough new designs, artworks and packaging that meets the brand DNA
  • Partner with Development to ensure the feasibility, sustainably and profitability of projects and on-time execution
  • Work with CMI to conduct extensive market research to decode consumer insights & validate launches
  • Think e-commerce first and collaborate with e-shopper upfront to identify key search terms and optimize copy and content
  • Work closely with the Content manager and/or agency partners to create breakthrough launch materials, from traditional media to digital data driven activations
  • Work hand in hand with Marketing Operations and the cross-functional teams to develop collaborative strategies and foster a high performing team culture
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Demand Plan to establish launch forecasts
  • Assess project performance throughout the year
  • Support and monitor the global expansion of the brand
  • Coach and develop an assistant manager

 

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • 8+ years of business-related experience focused on marketing, data and project management
  • Product development experience is required
  • Consumer package goods or beauty industry experience is required
  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing is highly desired
  • Experience in targeting the Multi-Cultural consumer is highly desired

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

* Salary Range: $139,700-$199,100 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
