What You Will Do:

L’Oréal is in search of an E-Commerce Analytics specialist and data driven technologist to join the Omni-Retail Acceleration team. Operating under an agile model, your role as an Analytics IT Lead will be to leverage your Walmart or similar retail knowledge to support enterprise analytics and rapid growth.  

This role is responsible for partnering with our team of engineers and analytics experts in the development of best-in-class performance measurement and visualization tools that drive day to day success of the business as well as unlock incremental insights that create a competitive advantage. The Ideal candidate has product management skills to work cross-functionally with the Product Owners, Product Managers, Engineering, and Commercial/Media teams on process improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and QA testing. Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills, familiarity with SQL, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The candidate should also have persuasive communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape analytical deliverables. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally.  

  • Analyze, produce and coordinate technological needs in order to build and evolve the Walmart Accelerator product landscape. 
  • Take the lead on user story modelling, solution design, development and management of data quality. 
  • Work with the engineering team to apply their Walmart business and domain knowledge towards the product components like Data Model, Data Pipelines, BI tools, ML/AI models 
  • Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, secure, scalable and cost effective within the allotted budget.  
  • Facilitate knowledge management and expertise transmission. Rapidly acquire new knowledge on IT solutions and keep constantly up to date on technological opportunities and market trends. 
  • Support and scale up our development and analyst team and drive continuous improvements.  
  • Impact analysis of major changes to ensure compliance with existing architecture and principles of the product.  
  • Drive to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and interest in the beauty industry 
  • 5+ years of industry experience in data analytics. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. 
  • Strong eCommerce CPG/Retail background and thorough understanding of how to answer business questions/challenges through data with clear sense of the value added. 
  • Experience working with enterprise cloud databases.  
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity.  
  • Proven track record working with large cross-functional teams and independently executing deliverables. 
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
