Job Title Quality Engineer

What You Will Learn:

Provides technical support to the Units of Production, Outside Vendors and Quality Laboratories regarding Quality System and regulatory requirements. Participates in internal and external Quality audits. Conducts sampling and inspection on packaging components and or finished products in accordance with the L’Oréal test methods and specifications.

  • SCOOP implementation on packaging lines.
  • Line capabilities evaluation.
  • Coordinate actions to improve line capabilities in partnership with the production department.
  • Partner with the validations engineers to create SCOOP dossier.
  • Create necessary quality SOPs.
  • Conduct Quality Systems and SCOOP audits with diligence, ensuring that concerns are pointed out and collaborate with UP on how to correct/make changes.
  • Conduct quality system audits at outside suppliers.
  • Assist in leading the investigation and resolution of quality related problems and incidents, including “red stops” through Root Cause Analysis and determine solid corrective actions.
  • Actively participate and lead quality improvement and optimization projects, including training to employees across departments.
  • Sample, test, and inspect finished good production lots, packaging component receipts in accordance with the L’Oréal DGO test methods and specifications. Record test results and issue NCMRs as appropriate.
  • Write SMI books for new launches.
  • Assist in line trials and first productions.
  •  Maintain a safe, clean work environment and implement L’Oréal safety and environmental programs.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

       Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience in Manufacturing with strong emphasis In Quality.

       Experience with compliance to FDA and ISO guidelines including SOPs, auditing, and documentation requirements is highly desirable.

       Experience in statistical sampling and conducting tests on packaging components, bulk and finished goods.
