As Quality Engineer in our Piscataway Manufacturing plant, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Halal Assurance System in support of your favorite L’Oreal brands! You’ll also support the quality assurance team with tasks related to hygiene & cleaning validations.

What your day will look like:

  • Determining gaps, corrections and corrective actions for Halal Assurance System
  • Developing and maintaining the Halal Assurance System Manual, policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring operational activities are according to established SOPs and work instructions
  • Ensuring the Halal Assurance System is established, implemented, and maintained
  • Communicating with Halal authority on inspection and renewal of Halal Certification
  • Planning and executing audit schedules
  • Preparing audit and investigation reports of findings and observations that identify areas of non-compliance and risk areas for non-compliance
  • Planning and executing plant trainings
  • Updating and maintaining Halal certification documentation
  • Reviewing and investigating raised issues related to Halal Compliance received through regulatory agencies, internal departments, and business partners
  • Reporting performance review of Halal Assurance System to Top Management  
  • Support with hygiene & cleaning validation tasks/projects

What you’ll need:

  • BS in Engineering or related field is required
  • 1-3 years of previous experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Past project experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office/Excel/PowerPoint knowledge to include experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, and presentations
  • SAP experience
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • Quality & Hygiene Regulations- DGO, FDA, & Halal Quality Systems
  • L’Oreal Industrial Quality Policies
  • Good interpersonal & communication skill
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, and results driven

Tools and Equipment Used in Job/Environmental Factors:
